How do I find rare books in Mannheim University Library?

The majority of the approximately 60,000 rare books in Mannheim University Library are searchable in the online catalog Primo.

Use and Reproduction of rare books?

Mannheim University Library has set itself the goal to digitize the most relevant historical books (publication date before 1800) in the next few years and to present them in electronic form on this website. Please make always sure before ordering a book in Primo whether the book is already available in electronic form and you may use the digital copy for your research.

You may read the printed books at a separate reading table in the Info Center of Mannheim University Library. For reasons of conservation a loan or interlibrary loan is not permitted.
